Boxer Beer

I just came across this photo of my friend and I from "Beerfest" last year!
I'm the one second from the left, looking silly as per usual!

We had so much fun that day. Beerfest is hosted once a year, a whole bunch of beer companies, and new brewers all come together in one spot! It's pretty neat, you purchase a small beer mug and tickets, and you walk around tasting all the different beers. They have fun things, like this "Boxer Beer" photo set up to do as well. This photo, believe it or not made it onto the website for the company haha! We did get to keep the cute little boxers as well, but I should admit now.... The beer was awful haha! I actually quite enjoy beer, but this "Boxer Beer" is not a top choice!

The friend in the photo, and I go to quite a few of these things every year. We have tattoo festivals, and outdoor festivals all year round! Next one up, is the Annual Auto show, which I happen to do the photography for Audi at, so I will most definitely we there!

The funny thing about Brittnee (my friend in the photo) and I, is that we are like 2 peas in a pod. We have been best friends since middle school, and we do everything the same. Ironically, we did our hair the same on the day this photo was taken. We are so "connected" that we often end up in the same outfit, or with the same hair, without even talking to each other. When we hang out, we usually don't even say where exactly we're going to meet up haha. If she says the mall, I know where in the mall to go, no questions asked haha! It's very bizarre and we laugh often about it, because no matter how hard we try we still do things the same.
I love her none the less of course though!

Just had to share this funny photo!

Glamourous.

Good Morning Vietnam!
Well maybe not Vietnam, but I saw it in a movie once, so I had to say it haha!

Yesterday I was feeling a wee bit under the weather, so my bestie decided to take me out for dinner, and she surprised me with some treats! I was so excited, it totally made me feel better!
What a haul she got me too, so sweet of her!

Cute Leopard print purse!
Leopard print travel make-up bags (PERFECT for Cancun!!)
Lotion so I don't burn
Estee Lauder - Black gel eyeliner
Estee Lauder foundation - Beach Beige
Estee Lauder foundation brush

Here's a pic of the make up close!

I was so excited, this totally made my night :)
In case you haven't already realized, I LOVE leopard print haha!
Dinner was very good too, I definitely cheated my diet a bit though haha!

Happy hump day ladies!

A day in the life.

Hello my Lovelies!

For today's blog I decided to track everything I do on a regular day (well a work day that is)
I never realized how structured my days actually were until this morning.

6:15 am - Alarm goes off, time to get up!
6:30 am - All showered, doing make up
6:45 am - Hair, and clothes
7:00 am - Vitamins, supplements, and breakfast-to-go (shake!)
7:05 am - Off to work I go
8:00 am - Officially "on the clock"
10:00 am - Hungry already, snack time (protein bar, banana, yogurt, something to fill me up)
12:00 pm - 1:00pm - Lunch!
2:00 pm - Snack time yet again haha!
5:00 pm - Off work and on the way to the gym
6:00 pm - 8:00pm - Gym time! (yes it actually takes me an HOUR to get to the gym)
8:15 pm - Dinner! (making and eating)
9:00 pm - 10:00 pm - Photo editing, and surfing the net
10:00 pm - Bed!

Wow. Until I wrote this I guess I never realized how boring my day to day life actually is haha!
The occasional time, I have something else to accomplish after work, but for the most part that is how my days go. I've been training for a fitness competition so I suppose this is about normal. I try not to consume alcohol unless it's a special occasion (although Cancun will be a different story haha)

What do your days look like? Are they as boring and structured as mine?

Smooches!

Thanks to Kanye's workout plan....

Alright, I'm going to be brave here and show off my progress!
Stop reading now, if you're offended by underwear haha!
I never really thought that part through, so I apologize for the "outifts" haha
They're not TOO bad, basically the same as a bathing suit!

So I will start off by telling you that I actually weigh 3 lbs more in my second photo. I think this is where us ladies get mad at the scale haha! To lean your body out you shouldn't be surprised if you gain a few pounds at first. You will lose it afterwards with cardio though! Remember, it's just a number, real progress can be tracked by body fat % as well as how you look and feel, so don't be alarmed if you gain weight!

Last year I had decided to whip my butt into shape in October, little to my surprise I ended up getting kidney stones a few weeks after I had started my journey. Needless to say I was out of the gym until December, and in excruciating pain up until then. I still kept up with eating right, but I really needed to focus on the gym as I was losing a lot of the toning I had done.

I started back in the gym in the last few weeks of December, and I have been on it every since! I maintain a balanced diet (pretty near 100% clean) and I ensure I am very active all the time.

I should admit now, I am accident prone! I always get hurt in some way or another! This has been a huge obstacle with my training. Right before the Kidney stones I had taken a good fall off my dirt bike and cracked my right kneecap! I'd post pictures but its pretty nasty! Let's just hope I don't break anything while I'm in Cancun!

If anyone needs help with diet/nutrition or exercise tips, let me know! I would be more than happy to help you out as well :)

Before & During photos :)
Sorry about the quality!

Hopefully you can see some progress!

Weekend at a glance

Good morning my love's!
I hope you all had a great weekend, I enjoy reading your blogs on Monday's to see how much trouble you guys got into :)

My weekend went pretty well!
Friday night I went to FINALLY see the boy I mentioned in a previous post....
That went well, got to wear my new bikini in the hot tub and we watched movies :)
It was a bit of a trek to go see him, as he was staying out of town, but it was fun!

Saturday I went to the gym, and bummed around my house. I started watching this MTV show "Caged" it's actually better than I thought it would be! I won't lie I totally watched 5 episodes on Saturday night haha. I had decided to take it easy and relax so I stayed home that night.

Sunday was pretty normal, I went with a friend to get our make-up done for fun, and I did my Lancome pre-order hehe. I love gift with purchase time, I get new products and I get nice gifts! When I pick it up, I will post pictures :)

As usual, every Sunday I go see my parents for dinner. I edited to remaining wedding photos I had to do, and spent the afternoon with Ma and Pa. Of course I got all these lectures about going to Mexico, and what to beware of haha! Dad even filled me in on a CIA trick he learned! He says "If you see the same person 3 times in different places, they are following you. Beware of your surroundings and if you suspect someone may be trying to follow you, and you keep seeing them RUN!" Oh Parent's, gotta love them!

I am so excited to getaway from Calgary. Even just for a week, it always reminds me of how much I love my city when I get a chance to getaway from it for a bit. I know most of you aren't from here, so just a little tidbit of info haha. I live in Calgary, its a beautiful city, close to the mountains, and I love it! What I don't like however, is how it goes from +9 and sunny yesterday, to half a foot of snow and -13 (all Celsius) this morning. Yesterday was sunny, I had my shades on and I was rockin to tunes in my truck, and this morning, I'm brushing snow off of it and freezing my butt off!!

Let's just say, right now I miss my house in Arizona :(

Happy Monday ladies!

Mwuah!

March Madness!

Hey Ladies!
I can't believe its March already! The first 2 months of the year flew by so quickly!
Sorry I haven't blogged for a few days, I've been killing it in the gym trying to get in good enough shape for Cancun next week!

I figured I would do a quick post on how to get great arms! I have studied for over a year now on physical fitness and training (I hope to be a certified trainer in the next few years) So that being said...
Here is a quick routine you can do to help get rid of flabby arms and tone up those triceps and biceps!
Hope you all Enjoy!

Part one; Skull crushers!
Don't let the title fool you, you won't be crushing your skull (although I suppose you could if you picked a weight that was too high, so be careful!)
With this, you want to pick a weight that you can hold up straight (arms fully extended, straight up)
I suggest starting with a 20lb bar (if this is too much find a 10!)
Next step; Keep your triceps straight, bend your arms at the elbows as close to your forehead as you can
(once you have mastered this, try to get the bar behind your head to work the muscles even harder!)

That is part 1, do a set of 8 and follow on to the next step!

Step 2; Bicep curls!
Alright, so I have mastered the ultimate way to do these!
The picture is good, but instead of holding your arms down do this:
Hold your left arm at a 90 degree angle and do 4 curls with your right arm, then hold your right arm at a 90 degree angle and do 4 curls with your left. Do this twice, so you've done 8 curls on each side!

Step 3; Tricep Dips!
Pretty self explanatory! Try and keep your back as straight as possible and dip 8 times!

Now you know the steps, repeat all 3 steps in a "Superset"!
Go through the steps 3 times, and try and fit this into your workout routine twice a week, you will start to see results and you will be very pleased with them, I promise!
Don't forget to drink plenty of water, and eat clean to maximize results!

Your arms will burn after you finish this workout if you're doing it right, so if they aren't try increasing the weight in step one. Don't forget... its a MYTH that women using weights will look like a body builder, using resistance is key to toning your body!

This is a great workout to get rid of that "underarm flab" that every woman has issues with! We all have it, but this will help you get rid of it, and tone your arms!

If you guys have any questions on fitness or want a personalized diet, let me know and I will help out!

Remember, it doesn't matter how slow you go, you're still lapping everyone on the couch!

Hugs 'n Kisses
