High Heels; High Standards

Good Morning my Loves!

It's Tuesday and I am sick as a dog. Brutal, I know. 

Somehow I managed to contract a head cold on Sunday and I have been ill ever since. 

Yesterday I came to work, tried my best and gave it my all. My lovely boyfriend (so weird to say that, but it's official now) brought me cold medicine. HOW ADORABLE IS THAT?! 

I can say, no boy has ever done anything like that before. 

Maybe I should fill you guys in a little more about this boy.... 

We will call him D.

D and I have known each other since high school, he went to school with my ex husband....oh yeah. Slightly weird. They were friends back in highschool, but haven't talked since graduation. (In case you didn't figure it out, I went to a different school than they did)

D and I were acquaintances back then but really didn't know each other well. 

Just about a month ago, I ran into him... at a strip club. Why I was there, I really don't know haha it was one of those crazy nights. He was there because it was his friends birthday and he had gotten talked into it. Regardless, I saw him, ran up to him, gave him a hug and said hey! 

The next day I get a facebook message, telling me I look great and it was nice to bump into each other, possibly drinks sometime?

I said yes, but wasn't sure when that would actually happen. 

The following week, we started texting and chatting and well.... let's just say on a Tuesday night I got carried away, drank way more than I should have and he came to the rescue! He picked me up, made sure I got my truck in the morning so I could get to work, and was so respectful, he tried absolutely nothing. 

So now I owed him... I invited him out for drinks another night, he came we had a good time and we texted for another week haha.

The week after that, we went to see a movie, I decided I liked him that night.

The following day we went hiking and hung out at his place that night, and well ever since we have pretty much been inseparable. 

He's the cutest thing ever! 

So there ya have it folks... The girl that never has a boyfriend (or a decent one at least) has the most amazing  boyfriend and she may have slightly fallen for him...

Friday's Letters

The weekend is hours away! I can't wait! 

Today has been splendid already as I got a nice bonus at work :)

May have to do a little shopping this weekend hehe! 

I love Fridays for obvious reasons, but also because I love Friday's Letters with Ashley at Adventures of Newlyweds

Dear Tanning Salon; I know you're bad for me but you just feel so dang nice and I love not being pasty.

Dear Ma & Pa; I'm glad you made it home from Mexico safe and sound! I'm looking forward to our Sunday dinner at your place this weekend.

Dear Toyota Driver; The roads are slushy, no need to drive halfway on the shoulder and hydroplane every vehicle passing you. Do you even have a license?

Dear Girls/Old friends; You deleted me off of facebook, talk poorly about me but when you run into me in a tanning salon you act all nice? Hmmm I hope you didn't see my judging eyes. I will admit, you looked better on facebook/30lbs slimmer. Shitty deal yo! 

Dear Coffee; I love you with all my heart and soul, but I have a feeling this may be the end of our love. You're oh so sweet and such a delight, but my behind does not need to get any bigger.

Dear Quarterly Bonus; I LOVE YOU! I got half today, and I will receive the other half next pay day. My Visa is looking pretty good, we may be able to treat ourselves to something nice :)

Dear N; Thanks for the dinner dates, tanning, slurpees, laughs, and randomness this week. I love ya!

Dear "Boy"; You've been gone since Wednesday, I miss you secretly. When you come home please take me out :) (I'm way too excited about you, and I'm more than likely setting myself up for disappointment, I know)

Dear Ego; Why are you being so retarded when it comes to boys?! Put that "tough girl, I don't take shit from nobody" attitude back on!!!

Dear Followers; When I get to 100....it's giveaway time!! I love you all so much :)

Weekend at a glance

Good morning my love's!

I hope you all had a great weekend, I enjoy reading your blogs on Monday's to see how much trouble you guys got into :)

My weekend went pretty well! 

Friday night I went to FINALLY see the boy I mentioned in a previous post....

That went well, got to wear my new bikini in the hot tub and we watched movies :)

It was a bit of a trek to go see him, as he was staying out of town, but it was fun!

Saturday I went to the gym, and bummed around my house. I started watching this MTV show "Caged" it's actually better than I thought it would be! I won't lie I totally watched 5 episodes on Saturday night haha. I had decided to take it easy and relax so I stayed home that night. 

Sunday was pretty normal, I went with a friend to get our make-up done for fun, and I did my Lancome pre-order hehe. I love gift with purchase time, I get new products and I get nice gifts! When I pick it up, I will post pictures :)

As usual, every Sunday I go see my parents for dinner. I edited to remaining wedding photos I had to do, and spent the afternoon with Ma and Pa. Of course I got all these lectures about going to Mexico, and what to beware of haha! Dad even filled me in on a CIA trick he learned! He says "If you see the same person 3 times in different places, they are following you. Beware of your surroundings and if you suspect someone may be trying to follow you, and you keep seeing them RUN!" Oh Parent's, gotta love them!

I am so excited to getaway from Calgary. Even just for a week, it always reminds me of how much I love my city when I get a chance to getaway from it for a bit. I know most of you aren't from here, so just a little tidbit of info haha. I live in Calgary, its a beautiful city, close to the mountains, and I love it! What I don't like however, is how it goes from +9 and sunny yesterday, to half a foot of snow and -13 (all Celsius) this morning. Yesterday was sunny, I had my shades on and I was rockin to tunes in my truck, and this morning, I'm brushing snow off of it and freezing my butt off!! 

Let's just say, right now I miss my house in Arizona :(

Last night I watched "The Vow" great movie! I love it, and I wish I could find an everlasting love like they shared. If you're in for a chick flick and possibly a tear jerker, you will love this one!

I had told a boy I like that I wanted to go see the movie, and I wanted him to take me haha! Well.... that didn't go as planned haha, he didn't want to and I ended up watching it online. All in all though I guess we both got what we wanted!

Since we're on the topic of boys.... how do you ladies feel about this one....

We went on a few dates 3 years ago, everything was fine but we got busy and lost touch. We ran into each other a month ago, and have been talking since then non stop. We haven't hung out yet though, this is the part I don't like. He's "taking things slow" but I don't quite understand how that works if you don't see each other....thoughts? 

This weekend, my friend and I are going bathing suit shopping for our trip to Cancun! I have to admit I am excited, but also terrified I am not a fan of bikinis haha even though I have worked very hard on my body for months now!

Ain't that what ya came for?

Wow. What a weekend, that's all i can say.

I spent a good portion of it with my mama, oh how i adore her <3 

We went for lunch yesterday, and then thrifting. Somehow I ended up with 2 books on make up, very interesting techniques! Love them!

Last night was a disaster though....

I won't go too far into detail about my life, but the short version is interesting haha!

If you have any guy friends (which most of mine are) you will understand what it's like when they get a new girlfriend (or an old one comes back for that matter)

Anyways, I guess according to her I shouldn't be around, and she's taking over. 

I asked her how her arms didn't fall off carrying so much BAGGAGE around all the time...

Alright, I didn't say that to her, hindsight is always 20/20 though right?

Some girls are crazy, I hope you ladies aren't like that!

Today was good though, I met my mama for breakfast and she got me a new vanity to do my make up at :) 

Yes, I will post pics! As soon as I have it all organized! It's very cute, antique, love love love it!

Back to to grind tomorrow, I'll be settling in with a tea and reading all your lovely blogs :)
